Scana’s board of directors has voted to increase the size of the Scana Corporation board from 10 to 12 members. The board elected Mr Micali and Mr Roquemore to serve in the newly created seats until the next annual meeting of shareholders.
Mr Micali was named a member of the Michelin Group executive council in 2001. He served the rubber industry as chairman of the board of the Rubber Manufacturers Association for a one-year term concluding in 2002. He was elected to the board of directors of Sonoco in 2003 and served on the board of directors of Lafarge North America from 2004 to 2006.
Mr Roquemore is CEO and Chairman of the board of Patten Seed Company, the producer of warm-season turfgrass sod and seed. He serves on the southeast region and national boards of the Boy Scouts of America. He also serves on the board of SC Bank and Trust. He is currently the agribusiness co-chairman for ‘New Carolina’ and is the past president and current board member of the Palmetto agribusiness council.
