The order includes supply, installation, commissioning as well as a five-year service contract. Vestas will also provide its proprietary supervisory control and data acquisition program as part of the deal.

Vestas noted that delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to start in September 2008 and March 2009, for the Sargentes project in the province of Burgos and Sierra de las Carbas project in the province of Zamora, respectively.

Juan Araluce, president of Vestas, said: We are very proud that ACS Cobra has chosen Vestas as supplier for this wind power project, which demonstrates their confidence in us and our products.
