The 170MW capacity project is expected to become operational at the end of 2010. The A Luoi hydropower plant, owned by Central Hydropower, is located in Thua Thien Hue province, Vietnam. Cavico will receive payments periodically after reaching designated stages of completion.
Hai Tran, CEO of Cavico Vietnam, said: This new contract brings the total of awarded contracts for the A Luoi plant to $59 million, and showcases Cavico’s leadership in the hydropower market.
