The oil field, located in Tarim basin in north China’s Xinjiang Autonomous region, produced 288 million cubic meters of natural gas, up 28 million cubic meters from first quarter 2008.
Tahe oil field is expected to achieve annual production of 10 million tons in 2010.
Statistics show crude and gas production at Tahe oil field increased 640,000 tons and 320 million cubic meters, respectively, to six million tons and 1.27 billion cubic meters in 2008, generating a total of CNY2.023 billion of income.
Tarim basin has estimated reserve of 22.9 billion tones of oil equivalent.
