The drilling program of 30 holes will be focused on five priority areas being Bundi, Norwood, Miles West, Miles North and Miles East project areas, all highly prospective for underground mining targets that are also close to planned rail infrastructure.

Theo Psaros, chief operating officer of MetroCoal, said: “we are very pleased to have confidently started this program in priority coal target areas that are down dip or along strike of major coal deposits. We are now firmly underway and look forward to the completion of a successful program.”

MetroCoal, an Australia-based coal company, holds coal exploration tenements in the Surat coal basin covering approximately 4,000sqkm.
