Under the contract, MHPS will also provide technical advisory services for installation and commissioning of the equipment.

The equipment will be deployed at units 3 and 4 of the 900MW coal-fired power station, which will be constructed by an independent power producer (IPP) under the corporate umbrella of San Miguel (SMC), in Bataan province in the south-western area of Luzon Island.

MHPS is scheduled to deliver the order in April and July 2016.

The Limay plant, once operational, is expected to meet energy requirements in and around Manila.

MHPS has also delivered steam turbines and generators to the Taiwanese firm Formosa Heavy Industries (FHI), which is responsible for EP (engineering and procurement) at the plant for units 1 and 2 of the facility.

In addition to handling the orders for four units at the six-unit Limay power station, MHPS secured another order in 2013.
