This is a horizontal well targeting the Eagle Ford formation, and the well is located on the Lucas’ Hagen Ranch lease in Gonzales County.
The well is expected to meet, or exceed, its performance expectations, Lucas Energy said.
It is operated by Hilcorp Energy, a privately owned oil and gas company in the US, and was spudded on 20 October 2010.
Lucas Energy owns a 15% carried working interest in this well, which is planned to include a lateral extension of 4,500ft.
Meanwhile, the Hilcorp operated Hagen EF No 2H well is expected to be fracture stimulated within the next few days.
Lucas Energy controls 75 well bores in Texas which are either producing, shut in, or abandoned.
