Wight had no disparity with the company on any matter regarding the company’s operations, policies or practices.
Earlier, from November 1, 2004 to November 18, 2004, Bertcher served as president and CFO of New Concept Energy; January 3, 2003 until November 1, 2004 he was also chief executive officer. Earlier, he was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of the company from November 1989 until November 1, 2004. Bertcher is also (since February 25, 2008) executive vice president and chief accounting officer (since May 20, 2008) of American Realty Investors, Inc. (ARL), Transcontinental Realty Investors, Inc. (TCI) and Income Opportunity Realty Investors, Inc. (IOT). He has been a certified public accountant since 1973. Bertcher has been a director ever since June 1999 (and was from November 1989 to September 1996) of the company.
