Mr Hinnant has been chief nuclear officer since 1998. He joined Progress Energy (then CP&L) in 1972 at the Brunswick plant and has served in numerous leadership positions at each of the three Carolinas-based nuclear sites, including site vice president at the Robinson plant near Hartsville and at the Brunswick plant.
