A minor crack occurred in the FCCU two to three days back. But it can be repaired while the unit is online. It will be fixed in the next three or four days, a a Singapore-based trader source reported.
RIL is in the process of absorbing RPL.
RPL’s fire-hit 160,000 bpd in coker unit at the new plant has begun operations in the previous week, the trade sources said.
Earlier in April 2009 a small fire broke out at the coker unit of the refinery.
Last week the coker was repaired and it is functional now, said another trader.
