The Belgian firm has bought a 38MW wind farm in Mourisca, near Oporto and a 26MW farm in Fafe, north Portugal. The Moursica facility can produce about 91GWh a year.
The Fafe farm, which is still under construction, will have a capacity of 58GWh per year. It is expected to start generating electricity in mid-2008. Electrabel already has a presence in this area of Portugal.
