The University of Saskatchewan is working on a database to track and manage changes water systems. The province is also spending in Watercycles Energy Recovery Inc.’s development of an automated manufacturing process for a new product that could decrease one-third of hot water heating greenhouse gases.

Other sustainable projects includes obtaining funding for Pavement Scientific International Inc.’s development of a pavement recycling technology that incorporates waste asphalt and concrete, and the city of Regina’s waste reduction program for the Mosaic Standium that can be applied to other buildings.

In addition to this, the government is also renewing several continuing projects, counting SaskEnergy’s water-and energy-reducing incentives and Saskatchewan Research Council’s energy-efficiency and renewable energy programs. Funding for the projects is provided from the Go Green Fund.
