The pilot plant operation at at SGS Canada is designed to generate graphite flotation concentrate for downstream evaluation as well as provide data to facilitate future studies.

In mid-August, the company shipped 25 tons of the composite to SGS Lakefield for commissioning purposes and an additional 102 tons of material was shipped to SGS on 9 September.

Wet commissioning of the pilot plant commenced last week and is planned to be soon completed.

On completion of mechanical and metallurgical commissioning, the plant is said to operate for around 200 hours, to generate tons of graphite concentrate and provide data to facilitate the process design criteria for a full-scale graphite mill.
