The Danish firm said that the contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines. Delivery of the turbines will begin at the end of 2007 and all projects are expected to be commissioned by the third quarter of 2008.

We are proud of GHF/Ventotec’s confidence in Vestas and we are very pleased to reaffirm our loyal and long-lasting working relationship, said Hans Jorn Rieks, president of Vestas’s central Europe unit.

GHF/Ventotech GmbH, which is located in Leer, is the prime contractor for GHF wind power plants in Germany and has been operating in the wind energy sector since 1998.

After having finished the planning of the different projects, we now look very much forward to realizing the projects with Vestas turbines. In the eastern part of Germany alone, GHF/Ventotec GmbH already operates 21 wind power plants with a total installed capacity of more than 500MW. With these new projects located in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony, the investment is again made in the New Lander of Germany, commented Helmer Stecker, CEO of GHF/Ventotec GmbH.
