Norsk Hydro is currently Gaz de France’s (GDF) second largest supplier of Norwegian gas, while Norway accounts for 21% of the French group’s supply portfolio.
GDF said that this agreement strengthens the company’s development strategy in the UK, where its subsidiary, Gaz de France ESS, holds a significant position in energy trading, with a 15% market share in natural gas sales to the industrial and commercial sectors.
