The Plaza Terminal will provide new options for reaching multiple markets across the United States and Canada through rail and pipeline for refiners, marketers and producers.
The terminal is strategically located on a 350-acre site in the eastern section of the prolific Bakken and Three Forks shale oil producing areas.
Dakota Gold is a joint venture between its president and CEO Cody Moe and the TrailStone Group, an energy asset investor and manager.
Majority of TrailStone is owned by Riverstone, a private equity focused in energy with approximately $27bn of equity capital raised.
Dakota Gold secured application approval from the Mountrail County Commission for a conditional use permit and the company’s request to have the site rezoned for industrial use.
Construction of the terminal is scheduled to commence later this year.
