<p>Petrol, which is 30%-owned by the Slovenian government, is the region's largest fuel retailer, with a 68% market share and 308 petrol stations, Portfolio.hu reported. Petrol also has a network of 20 stations in Croatia, 36 stations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one station in Serbia.<br /><br />Although MOL's chief communications officer has reportedly confirmed that the company is interested in expansion in Slovenia, Portfolio.hu revealed that he also commented that Petrol is not currently up for sale. <br /><br />The Hungarian online publication also cited a Petrol spokesman as saying that the company has not yet received a formal offer from MOL. <br /><br />According to Portfolio.hu, Petrol, which is also 20%-owned by investors, has been looking to expand outside of its domestic market due to the limited prospects in the region.</p>
