The drilling program revealed new intercepts, including 30m at the rate of 22.5% total graphitic carbon (TGC) at the hole YBDD002 an 19m at the rate of 19.9% TGC at the hole YBDD001.

All the drill holes showed multiple high grade zones within the main mineralization zone, the company said.

The drilling program extended mineralization to the west of the existing JORC resource.

Work on the updated resource estimate is planned to soon commence and the tonnage is expected to increase from the current inferred resource of 2.27 million tons at the rate of 2.1% TGC.

Located 250km North West of Meekatharra and 280km East of Carnarvon, the Yalbra project covers an area of 37km² and is said to have substantial preliminary global exploration target of up to 12 million tons at the rate of 7% to 11%.

The company has recently signed deals to buy the Coordewandy and Gum Creek graphite projects along strike from Yalbra main zone target. If these licences are granted, Buxton’s total tenement package will be 437km².
