The 2,000m of RC and diamond drilling will be carried out at the Orion North and Northeast Myra, which have been selected as the first target areas.
The drilling is currently testing the interpreted alteration zone identified by the recent SAM/MMR geophysical survey and its intersection with fault breccia zones.
The SAM/MMR survey also identified various extensive anomalies of high interest.
Phase I drilling results for Orion North are expected to be announced by early September.
Alligator said it will conduct radiometric and XRF field screening of drill samples and provide regular updates, including reporting of field results.
The 2014 field season drilling will focus on the Mintaka, Orion North, North East Myra, Orion South and Orion East, prospect areas.
Alligator plans to complete 5,000m of RC percussion and diamond drilling this year.
