SFPUC said that it has also issued a request for qualifications to pre-qualify potential bidders who wants to bid on these solar projects. Potential bidders are encouraged to submit pre-qualification packages as soon as possible, so that they might be notified of their pre-qualification status well in advance of upcoming projects.
Bidders should be pre-qualified before the advertisement of the request for proposals (RFP) for the projects. It is recommended that firms submit their pre-qualification questionnaire by January 30, 2009 so that they are qualified to bid on the first RFP, which is anticipated to be advertised in March 2009.
