This is the first contract signed regarding the entire construction works at the plant’s site.
The construction of a land cable connection began earlier in June 2014 and Siemens will continue the work by building a substation to provide 20kV and 400V electric power distribution to the site.
Planning phase is scheduled to commence in August 2014 and the actual construction will start in the end of 2014 while the site electrification is planned to be finished in April 2015.
Fennovoimas said the site electrification will be built for its own requirements and later, when the construction of the actual power plant starts, Rusatom Overseas will construct its own site electrification.
