The simulator will feature a complete replica of the control room including the emulation of the Instrumentation and Control system, the hard panels and high fidelity simulation of all relevant systems of the nuclear plant.

Corys will utilize its proprietary tools including ALICES and DRAC to support the development of plant and system models.

First concrete for Taishan 1 was poured at the end of October 2009 and the unit is scheduled for completion by 2013. Construction on the second unit is due to begin in 2010 and to be finished in 2015.

China Nuclear Power Engineering Company is in charge of the engineering in partnership with vendor Areva.

The Taishan plant is being built by Guangdong Taishan Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company Limited (TSNPC), a joint venture between Electricite de France SA (EDF) (30%) and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC).
