The project at the Phase-2 of the Huaneng Jinggangshan power plant will concurrently install high-performance electrostatic precipitators, flue-gas desulfurisation and denitrification facilities as well as a flue-gas continuous emission monitoring system, said the company.

Various emission indices at the power plant are expected to satisfy China’s environmental protection requirements.

Huaneng said that the total investment amount of the project is estimated to be approximately RMB2.52 billion, of which 25% is equity capital to be funded by Huaneng Power International’s internal funds. The remaining investment will be funded by bank loans, informed the company.

 Huaneng Power International, has a total generation capacity of 37593MW on an equity  basis and a controlling installed generation capacity of 40989MW. The company wholly owns  sixteen operating power plants, an operating power company, and has controlling interests in thirteen operating power companies and minority interests in five operating power companies.
