Initially, the wind project construction completion date was salted on or before 30 June 2014 while the approval has extended the completion date to 31 December 2016.
With a total generating capability of 120MW, the power plant will feature 60 Gamesa G90 wind turbines, each rated at 2MW.
The power plant will also include a 34.5kV gathering system to collect the electric energy generated by each turbine and transmitting that electric energy to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System.
In order to assess ensure that the facility complies with the permissible sound level as determined in accordance with AUC Rule 012, the company will perform a post-construction comprehensive noise study at receptor location H7 under representative conditions.
