The semi-trailer has been manufactured to transport natural gas to industrial consumers at a pressure of up to 90 bars. Existing compressed natural gas semi-trailers transport comparable quantities of natural gas at a higher pressure of up to 200 bars. Transporting at lower pressure than existing level enables substantive capital and operational cost savings, Energtek said.

The semi-trailer has been designed according to German standards and is certified by TUV. It is ready to be deployed for commercial use. Energtek is currently organizing a commercial low-pressure gas transportation project and expects to utilize the semi-trailer in the near future.

Lev Zaidenberg, CEO of Energtek, said: “The LMP semi-trailer enables the cost-effective transport of natural gas to energy consumers without access to a pipeline. Natural gas is well-known to be cleaner and cheaper than oil-based alternatives.”
