Under the terms of the contract, Alstom will supply, install and commission equipment including control systems, station transformers, local distribution systems, circuit breakers and 72kV cabling for the two units of the plant.

Supply and commissioning of new equipment for the Unit 1 of the plant is scheduled to be completed in 2016 and for the Unit 2 in 2017.

Alstom Norway Country President Eric Staurset said, "We are proud to reconfirm our good relationship with our customer Statkraft."

"This project endorses our strategy to support customers with a full services and retrofit offering to secure operational reliability and to optimize their asset management throughout the plant’s lifespan," Staurset added.
