These eight projects include: three each in the provinces of Hunan and Shandong, and one each in the provinces of Hebei and Fujian.

The project that will attract the largest investment would be located in Changsha, and the transmission capacity of the facility is likely to touch 500kV.

In the previous week, the NDRC had approved six power transmission and distribution projects with a total investment of CNY923m ($148m).

Since April 2012, the NDRC had approved 24 power transmission and distribution projects that call for an investment of CNY7.67bn ($1.23bn), reports Morning Whistle.

Construction on the new projects is expected to start in the following three years consecutively.
