The projects include a 400KW rooftop installation in the east Attica region’s Keratea town and a 277KW ground based solar plant in the mountainous island of Kalamos.

Martifer Solar’provided engineering, procurement and construction services for the plants and commissioned the projects.

Both projects, featuring polycrystalline modules and string inverters installed on fixed structures, cover a total area of 11,142m² and have a combined capacity of 677KW.

Together, the solar plants can generate 1GWh of electricity a year, enough to meet the power needs of 200 families, while displacing 880t of carbon dioxide anually.

Martifer Solar general manager Theodore Gitzos said that the company has so far installed nearly 50 PV systems in Greece.

"These two projects demonstrate our premise for on time project delivery.

"Alongside this, they are a sign of our commitment to the country, providing economic and environmental benefits to the local population," added Gitzos.
