The mono ethylene glycol plant will be constructed at the Reliance’s Jamnagar refining and petrochemicals complex, which is located in the state of Gujarat.

Jacobs Engineering Group vice president Allyn Taylor said, "We appreciate Reliance’s confidence in us for this significant portion of its petrochemical expansion project at the Jamnagar complex."

The Jamnagar refining and petrochemicals complex is a fully-integrated complex that has a crude oil refinery, aromatics/petrochemicals building, power generation complex, port and terminal complex as well as access to pipeline network.

The refinery has installed capacity of 668,000 barrels per day and consists of 50 processing units to process crude oil into various finished products, the company said.

Reliance’s refinery is fully-integrated with downstream petrochemicals units and produces naphtha-based aromatics as well as propylene- based polymers.
