In February 2014, OJSC "Turboatom" shipped runner, parts of the guide vane and auxiliary equipment to the station.
Today, this equipment is being erected supported by the specialists of OJSC "Turboatom" at hydraulic power plant. Start-up of the turbine is scheduled for 2014.
According to the contract signed in December 2010, "Turboatom" will execute fundamental reconstruction of four Kaplan type hydroturbines number No. 15, 16, 17, 18 with the nominal capacity of 21,8 MW and with the runner diameter of 5 m. Resulting from the modernization, the design capacity of each hydrounit is expected to increase from 21,8 MW to 25 MW, the maximum capacity is likely to be 28 MW, reliability and environmental safety of units are expected to increase as well. Service life of turbines is expected to increase by 40 years.
The scope of obligations of OJSC "Turboatom" also includes supervision of erection, participation in pre-commissioning and put into operation.
Beginning from 1996 OJSC "Turboatom" modernized 16 hydroturbines for Kamskaya HPP.
