As part of the deal, both the companies will supply around 2.6 million tonnes per year (mtpa) of LNG, for a period of six years.

The volume will be shipped from the Petronas LNG complex, located in Bintulu of Sarawak, while delivery is expected to start in the second quarter of 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Through a 20-year contract for an annual supply of 2.25 million tonnes of LNG, Petronas began its LNG supply to CPC in 1995.

MLNG, which has been set up in 1978, operates the Petronas LNG complex in Bintulu, while PLL, which is previously known as ASEAN LNG Trading, is a global LNG trading arm for Petronas.
