Located in the Ancuabe region of the Cabo Delgado province, the concession area consists of an open pit graphite mine and processing plant.
The company expects to restart graphite mining in the area, where an environmental impact assessment, detailed engineering and feasibility study have been undertaken.
Once the mine achieves full production, the concession is estimated to produce 6,000 metric tons of medium flake graphite concentrate every year.
The limited supply high purity natural graphite and silicon metals that the company produces are used in end markets such as electronics, energy efficiency, green energy and infrastructure.
AMG intends to use the high purity flake natural graphite from the Ancuabe mine in market tailored multiple high tech applications.
