The company is set to demonstrate this new product at TeleNetfair in Lucerne, Switzerland between 23 -25 October 2012.
Developed at the Nexans facility in Cortaillod, Switzerland, the latest solution doubles capacity while increasing the cable diameter by 15% compared with conventional technologies.
The company said the high-density cables in the KINOPTIC range are also designed for easy installation and suit for mid-span applications.
Nexans Sales and Marketing Operators vice president Raymond Voillat said, "The current challenge is to connect as many subscribers as possible while at the same time minimizing the impact of civil engineering works, which account for up to 80 per cent of the FTTH infrastructure cost. With this high-density solution, we significantly reduce time on site for our customers."
