The project is located in the Abitibi mining camp, 25kms northwest of Amos, Quebec.
Norascon will be a part of certain development activities at the project, including pre-stripping, mining area establishment, related feasibility study and permitting activities.
The contract includes movement of pre-strip material in 2014, the final quantities and timeline of which will be determined after a feasibility study by mid-2013.
Royal Nickel president and CEO Tyler Mitchelson said that Norascon, which is based in close proximity to Dumont, will help develop the project.
"Norascon has successfully completed a number of mining works contracts on large projects in Quebec and abroad and I am excited to welcome a firm of their experience and professionalism to the Dumont development team."
The contract is subject to confirmation of the formal mining services agreement as well as financing for the project.
