The deal allows Eskom to implement Ventyx’s supervisory control and data acquisition/distribution management system for real-time network monitoring and control of electric power operations.
The company will also deploy the Ventyx Equipment Reliability solution, which designed to help improve processes, equipment reliability and performance, in its Koeberg nuclear power station in Africa.
Ventyx Africa sales director Johan Engelbrecht said with this contracts, the firm expands its footprints within Eskom and consolidates its position in African electrical utility market.
"With an increasingly urban population, demand for electricity in Africa is rising fast, increasing pressure on utilities to maximize the availability and efficiency of their networks," Engelbrecht added.
"Ventyx network management and equipment reliability solutions help utilities reduce operating and maintenance costs while improving reliability of service."
