The $9bn NSRP complex will be built in the Nghi Son economic zone, Thanh Hoa province of the country.

The hydrogen reformers, which are expected to be key components within the Nghi Son refinery hydrogen manufacturing unit, will be designed to produce a combined total of 145,000 tonnes of hydrogen per annum.

The company plans to complete the delivery of the reformers in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Foster Wheeler COO Umberto della Sala said the major award by the NSRP EPC consortium demonstrates confidence in company’s technology in hydrogen reforming and ability to design to exacting specifications.

"Large sections of the reformers will be designed to be delivered fully assembled, maximizing offsite activity and delivering schedule benefits," Sala added.
