As per the contract the company will supply two air-cooled Ormat Energy Converters for the geothermal project.

The EPC contract is under negotiations and until then the parties involved in the contract have entered an interim agreement for an amount of $9m for limited scope of work to prevent any delays in the project.

Ormat president and COO Yoram Bronicki said the company increased its backlog by this project which will continue the strong product segment performance.

"This development will incorporate Ormat’s low-operating-cost design and our consistent project completion standards," added Bronicki.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
