The wind power project is located in the municipalities of Saint-Luc-de-Bellechasse and Saint-Magloire in the MRC des Etchemins and in the municipalities of Notre-Dame-Auxiliatrice-de-Buckland and Saint-Philemon in the MRC de Bellechasse.
The wind facility, valued at nearly $350m, is expected to produce green energy to power the equivalent of over 30,000 Quebec homes.
REpower will deliver 75 wind turbines rated at 2MW each with an amount of content manufactured locally.
LM Wind Power will supply the blades from their Gaspe plant; towers will be produced at Marmen’s Matane and Trois-Rivieres plants; and SEG Woodward will assemble the electrical converters in New Richmond.
