The wind farm, located near the community of Ferry, will use 12 of REpower’s Cold Climate Version MM92 turbines, each with a rated power of 2.05MW and a hub height of 78.5m.

Commissioning of the Eva Creek project is scheduled in 2012, and will generate a total output of 24.6MW.

REpower CEO Andreas Nauen said this project demonstrates the company’s core competency in supplying extreme cold climate capable turbine technology.

Eva Creek is the first project between Golden Valley Electric Association and the German-based wind turbine manufacturer.
