The Division of Air Quality of the WDEQ/AQD has completed final review of project, which will utilize the insitu recovery method to extract uranium and produce up to a maximum of three million pounds per year of yellowcake (U3O8).
The issuance of the air quality permit follows a detailed technical review by the WDEQ/AQD of more than a year of baseline air quality monitoring, modeling and data analysis by Strata Energy.
Peninsula Energy’s executive chairman Gus Simpson said that the grant of the permit is another important step toward achieving full approval for a mining operation at Lance project.
