The 100,000sqm plant is expected to be built with an estimated investment of around EUR 24-25 million.

The plant, which would be LM’s first in the southern hemisphere, is expected to boost a nascent wind power market in Africa, reports Reuters.

LM director Nirmal Gupta said the firm is in discussion with South African development financier, the Industrial Development Corporation, and expects to come to a final conclusion before 2011.
