The company will deliver a turnkey 34.5/138kV substation and lay 60km of 34.5kV cables to connect four new wind plants with a total generating capacity of 94MW to the national grid.
ABB is responsible for the design, engineering, supply, erection, commissioning and start-up of the substation including civil works.
The company will supply key products including the high- and medium-voltage gas-insulated switchgear, step-up transformers, instrument transformers and surge arresters for the project, which is scheduled to be handed over in September 2012.
It will also provide the control and protection system compliant with the global IEC 61850 open communications standard, as well as telecommunication and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
