The new grant will focus on a next-generation smart grid version of the company’s AirSync network management system.

This grant brings the company’s total R&D investment in AirSync-based solutions from EU agencies like PAED, Eureka, FP7-Seventh Framework Programme, and the company’s own matching funds to over $5m.

Proximetry executive vice president and chief strategy officer Andres Carvallo said the new grant will increase the company’s ability to deliver richer functionality from its five year road map to the energy market sooner.
