Under the extended contract, RWG will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for 27 Rolls-Royce Avon and RB211 gas turbines operating on seven offshore platforms in the UK North Sea.
The original contract was awarded in 1999, and the extended contract retains the same work scope as the original agreement for maintaining gas turbine drivers for power generation and gas compressor sets.
RWG, which is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Wood Group, also provides overhaul services to other Shell companies, including Shell Sarawak, Shell Malampaya and Shell Brunei.
