China Huadian will own majority stake in the $100m JV company, which will be called Huadian GE Aero Gas Turbine Equipment Co.

GE said that the JV will create opportunities for growth and further investment in GE aeroderivative gas turbines and services.

GE Power & Water aeroderivative gas turbines president and CEO Darryl Wilson said the JV aims to support China by helping the country meet its need for more than 1,000 distributed energy combined heat and power plants in the next ten years, while also supporting the US energy technology industry.
