Six Finnish IoT providers will showcase their solutions at Finpro’s Finland stand (3C135). This is part of Finpro’s ‘Capitalise your Knowledge’ programme which aims to boost Finnish digitalisation businesses.

The innovations on show include analytics to help companies make faster decisions, software for real-time plant monitoring and technologies to harvest meter data enabling the energy, water and waste sectors to increase operational efficiency.

Finpro senior advisor and program director Reijo Smolander said: “Finland has focused on developing and adopting new technologies to improve the service reliability of the national electricity system, paving the way for energy distribution automation. This means that it is one of, if not the most cutting-edge electricity system in the world.”

The advanced Finnish utility infrastructure is an ideal place to test IoT solutions. Within the European Union, Finland ranks first in the legal and regulatory environment for smart meters as well as their implementation. Innovations such as real-time billing and remote control and monitoring are already increasing the efficiency of the utility sector in Finland.

Smolander said: “Whether it’s data collection, digital user interfaces, data analytics, or software applications, Finnish businesses have the solution to help utilities companies increase productivity and enhance efficiency,” . “The organisations who are showcasing their technologies are the optimal partners for organisations who want to connect smart utility-related industrial assets and the IoT.”

The companies showcasing their innovations on the Finpro, Finland stand 3C135 at EUW from the 15th to the 17th of November in Barcelona will be Avarea, BaseN, BIGDATAPUMP, Futurice, ionSign and Process Genius.
