At the same time interim CEO Gabriel Kow will revert to his previous position as non executive chairman. The search for another non executive director is underway to rebalance the board composition.

Mr Kow, said: “I am very pleased that Alina has accepted the position of CEO. Since the departure of the previous CEO she has demonstrated drive, commitment and produced excellent operating results. It is clear she understands the industry extremely well and commands the respect and loyalty of the senior management team and the workforce.

“After a difficult time at the end of last year, we are now in a position to look ahead and make measured but confident plans to grow the business.”

Management intends to increase cell production capacity from 100MW to 150MW and module capacity from 60MW to 150MW by mid 2010. This involves installing two new production lines. These are now ordered and expected to be commissioned by mid 2010.
