In recent years, the momentum for wind power has been increased in China because of its government policies.
The wind energy generation in China has reached 12.17 million kilowatts at the end of 2008. China intends to construct seven wind power stations with a minimum capacity of 10 gigawatts (GW) each by 2020. Once completed, these stations will have a combined capacity of around 120 GW.
