The agreement would provide KEC with around 134MVA in the first phase and to add another 134MVA substation depending on the load growth of KEC, said Sheikh Al-Issa.
According to the agreement, the expansion of the Madina East main substation would take place through the addition of two 110KV bays and constructing a new 110/13.8KV substation comprised of 3/110KV main transformers each with 67MV capacity, 8 110KV bays and 44 13.8KV bays.
Al-Barrak, engineer of the project informed that there would be two types of power wire transmission the first is a two underground installations for eight kilometers and pylons for four kilometers till Qantara station.
