The company has announced the resignation of Michael Carlson as vice president and Appalachian Basin regional manager. Mr Beattie will be responsible for all activities in the Appalachian Basin and will be located at Rex Energy’s corporate headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania.

Mr Beattie will report directly to William Ottaviani, executive vice president and COO of Rex Energy. He comes to Rex Energy from Woodside Energy in Covington, Louisiana, where he served as engineering and operations manager.

Mr Lynch will be responsible for all of the company’s reservoir engineering analysis and will also be located at Rex Energy’s corporate office in State College, Pennsylvania. He will also report to Mr Ottaviani. Mr Lynch has spent the last eight years as an independent consultant reviewing well proposals, developing new drilling prospects, and preparing financial models in the Appalachian Basin.
